Description:
Precision Rifle 1, the training provided is for individuals who want to hone their fundamentals of marksmanship and further
their shooting skills at ranges from 100 to 1000 yards and beyond.
Goals:
Instructors for this training course will go into detail on topics of equipment selection, proper scope and rifle setup for the
shooter, log book use, zeroing, trigger management, shooting positions, exterior ballistics, available ballistic software
”PDA/Phone”, effects of weather, wind, elevation, high angle’s and reading mirage.
Requirements:
Equipment – Any rifle and ammunition combination capable of one inch groups at 100 yards
Quality rifle optic with sufficient power to distinguish targets at 500 yards ( turret style knobs and Mil-Dot reticle are preferred but not necessary)
Bi-pod and sling, (not a carrying strap)
200 rounds of ammunition (No steel core or tracer ammo)
Cleaning kit, screwdriver set, allen keys and wrenches to match your equipment
Note taking materials and calculator
Ground mat and rear stock bag (we will be shooting from the prone position)
Hearing, eye protection and a brimmed hat
cost is 150$, + 30$ range fee
