Anybody have any recommendations for some? I have a Vortex 1-6x Strike Eagle for my new 3 Gun AR15 that I’m building. My gun and my skills would get smoked in open division so I’m considering getting some offset irons instead so I can dial my Strike Eagle to the right magnification for each stage and just transition to offset irons for the close range double taps. Or is an offset red dot just a lot more fun and I shouldn’t worry about division? lol
Dueck Defense, Magpul Pro Offsets. Both are excellent quality, but the Magpuls fold down.
There are probably better websites for 3 Gun advice than this one. For my all purpose AR a chose the Troy offsets. They are lighter than Mp and lock up. For a game gun I would probably get the Dueck sights. Less to go wrong but they make the rifle harder store.
I use the Magpul offsets for 3 gun and they work just fine. My shooting buddy went with a small offset dot and he loves it. I’ve run his rifle and it’s obviously quicker with an offset dot, but as mentioned, it makes it more bulky. The magpuls fold away and are very minimal, which I like. All depends what your main goals are?
I run a vortex 1-4x with a set of troy offset sights. I run troys on my other ARs so I like to keep things similar across each rifle. Plus I like being able to fold them out of the way.
Can anyone post some pictures of how they have their offsets mounted?
I’m building up a DD V11 with a 1-4 optic and I’m trying to decide where to place the backup offsets. Rear sight back by the CH, more towards the front, front sight at the muzzle or further back? Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Sorry it’s not the clearest photo, but hopefully if you zoom in on the image you can see where I have the offset sights mounted.
The front sight is as far forward on the rail as it can go, and the rear sight is on the last rail slot. I tried mounting them in the same position as I have with regular sights. It’s hard to tell, but the rear sight just barely clears the forward assist and charging handle when folded. I’m using troy offsets. I believe there was a discussion about the clearance issue posted in another thread. Hope this helps.
Wigbones, is that an MUR upper?
The KAC offsets & MBUS Pro offsets do not work with Vltor MUR uppers with forward assist. I just traded for the DD RTS that should work but really liked both the KAC/MBUS Pros.
Yes, it’s an MUR upper. I was unaware that the KAC and MBUS Pro sights wouldn’t work with the MUR. I was under the impression that the Pro sights had a slimmer profile and therefore would have greater clearance.
I run mine both on the 15" KMR partly out of necessity. When folded the Troy rear kisses the Raptor CH. I really don’t see any disadvantage in doing it this way for backup/close range use.

Sight picture with camera lense just aft of the charging handle through the large aperture.

Fair warning I have no firsthand knowledge of how accurate/reliable/applicable product is. Only even mentioning it because Kyle D gave them mention (if not mistaken).
But there companies incorporating sights into scope rings/mounts, maybe something worth looking into.

This is what I have been trying to locate for some time. Simple, low profile, rugged and no moving parts to fall out of adjustment.
What adjustment? It obviously cannot fall out of adjustment because it isn’t adjustable. What value would they have at anything other than point blank range when aiming would be a waste of valuable time. I can’t see these things going very far.
I’ve used Magpul offset Pros (folding steel) and also a cheap $20 set off of Amazon (non-folding). I’ve used the Amazon ones in 3 gun competitions and they work great. The fact that the Amazon ones don’t fold may be an issue with you depending on how you pack your gun.
They are a copy of the Dueck Defense sights. I am sure the Dueck Defense sights are higher quality. But the cheap ones work great for my purposes and are 1/10 the price. I have no plans to upgrade.
Mine look like these (they may even be the same):

I did a brief overview of the Magpul and Troy offsets with my thoughts/opinion. I hope it helps.

90% off, wonder what the deal is?
This has a 1-4x now, and will eventually get a Leupold Mk series. Even with a good red dot, then sights are quick in their own right, and have their place on all of my rifles.
We run the Dueck Defense sights on all the rifles at work with magnified optics. No issues with holding zero and they have held up well to typical patrol abuse.
Not much R&D expense when you knock off someone else’s design and more than likely use inferior materials and child labor to manufacture your product.
The Magpul MBUS Pro Offset rear does not touch the Raptor or Gunfighter Ambi charging handles. That’s one of the several things I liked more about the Magpuls.
