Metformin used to treat type 2 diabetes has shone to have prophylactic value in preventing certain cancers, age related diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia and weight loss. I am going to ask my doctor about it.
I’m currently prescribed it for weight loss and can attest that it does in fact work for that. I’m borderline with my blood sugar but not diabetic so I also get benefits from that i guess.
