All of the factory-style selectors I have, have a deep V-notch as the indicator on the right side. I know there are some with a shallow line as the indicator, but my Google-Fu has proven quite ineffective at figuring out what company or companies feature the shallow line (or no markings at all). Any help?
The last couple Colts I got had no marking on the right side.
That would make life even easier!
I’m curious as to why the right side marking matters? My latest LPK is WOA and the marking is a medium line. I never really thought anything about it.
DWood - I’m working on a couple of retro builds, and the “correct” selector is the version with no markings on the right side. The version with the shallow line is easily machined off the end, while the deeper V-notches would require adding material. I’ve got an email in to Brownell’s to confirm their Colt selector is smooth on the end.
Got it. Good luck.
The Colt Le6920 SOCOM I just picked up has an ambi safety.
Daniel Defense uses a V notch. Most BCM rifles come with a line.
when benched with the chamber up an observer can ID the condition of the gun. dunno.
Not on a retro lower. There are no markings on the chamber side of any A1-or-earlier lowers.
Oh I missed that part. my bad.
