My mom died in AUG09, and at her memorial we released Monarch butterflies. Since then I have seen Monarch butterflies on 3 occasions.
-
We had a rain storm in late fall 09 with a rainbow, and one flew by.
-
Last birthday one flew by when I was outside.
-
Today is my 28th birthday, and one flew by earlier today.
I’ve not seen a butterfly outside of these 3 occasions at the house.
Makes ya wonder huh? My mother and wife are currently both battling cancer, it’s good to keep stories like yours in mind…helps to maintain strength!
I told my dad about it who was in KSA when she died. He had just been back on an RR two weeks before, and had to fly back for her memorial.
Anyways here is what he said:
That’s really something. I normally go see mom once or twice while I am
home each time. I have been sitting there and seen butterflies around.
One landed just in front of me one time on a tree. Just something to share
with you too. Mom is in my memory many times. I will miss her always.
After my Dad passed away my Mom and I were sitting on our front screened in porch. We were just talking and and my Mom got a little teary eyed. Just then from above the roof line, a tissue sheet drifted down and landed on the bush outside the porch. We didn’t mention it. My mom composed herself and a half a minute later a bird swopped down and picked the tissue up and flew away. Really weird.
Now it was May and I’m sure the bird dropped it and retrieved it for its nest making. But you got to ask yourself, how many times has a bird dropped a tissue near you in your lifetime?
A sign from my Dad? I don’t know. If I can drink Jameson whisky with out getting a hang-over; that’s when I’ll know it’s a sign from my Dad.
Here’s to butterflies, birds, angels and other winged creatures.
