As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam. It was Islam - at places like Al-Azhar University - that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.
Historical facts
The renaissance was a product of Catholic Italian families like the Medici. The biggest accomplishments of the Medici were in the sponsorship of art and architecture, mainly early and High Renaissance art and architecture. Obama must believe from that Indo madrasa that he went to as a child. Copernicus, Galileao, Michaelangelo, Da Vinci… were all… muslims? (1 Pole and 3 Italians). Nowhere in my Pre-P.C. education days was there any mention of Muslim inventions, philosophy, or epic writing like Plato, Aristotle, etc.

And what do we owe islam? Where are the great scientists, philosophers, writers, in the muslim world? Has Islam done anything positive for humanity? Just look at 75% of muslims do not have running water or how many cannot read? Look at ancient Rome and you had more technology 2000 years ago than in afghanistan in the 21st century today. Roman had toilets and bathed! THE ONLY TECHNOLOGY OR ADVANCES ISLAM HAD, IT TOOK FROM THE CONQUERED. Byzantium is a prime example. They stole their building techniques from the Byzantines (The Haija Sofia (Roman) in Constantinople is the model for all their mosques) Case closed!
This is what happens when you elevate a community organizer (and a muslim manchurian candidate) to the presidency! Who feels a need to kiss the muslims unwashed asses!
It would be a sorry mistake to assume that everyone here agrees with your religious views and views on different religions. It’s pretty funny that you jump up and down whenever someone says that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance, but you refuse to tolerate even the thought that Islam isn’t the bogey-man hiding in your closet.
I don’t care what you think, and you have every right as far as I am concerned to express it, but don’t be shocked when somebody else tells you that you are treading on thin ice.
There is no doubt that the Muslim world is screwed up. But, we can also look at the Spanish Inquisition (definitely not a peaceful time) and all the other conflicts that have been fought in the western world between “civilized countries” over religion. I interact with Iraqis on a daily basis and many of them are good people that want a normal life. There are others that simply need to be put down.
I don’t like Obama anymore than others. Unfortunately he was elected by the masses and we have to deal with it. As far as Obama being a “Manchurian Muslim” that’s just silly. He is simply appeasing the followers Islam. I am more concerned about his reckless policies and socialist ideology more than anything else.
