WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama called the increasingly tense conditions in the Mideast “unsustainable” Wednesday and said a better approach is needed in blockaded Gaza.
Turning his attention to the troubled region as he hosted Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas for talks, Obama also predicted “real progress” in coming months in U.S. efforts to nudge the Israelis and Palestinians toward direct peace talks, if both sides commit. Obama said both sides want a peaceful solution.
“Both sides have to create an environment, a climate that will be conducive to an actual breakthrough,” the president said after meeting in the Oval Office with Abbas. Obama announced an additional $400 million in aid to Gaza.
Currently the union is facing, high unemployment rate, a massive oil spill in the gulf, economic turmoil, nearly insurmountable debt, unsecured borders and this is what he thinks is the best use of the citizens money at the moment?
He and his administration is not concerend with the US…at least not in it’s current state. He’s concerned with re-making it into a broke, socialist, nanny state.
Agreed. He should have given it to Israel or spent it on U.S. projects like rebuilding our infrastructure, and not helping the enemy of our only democratic ally in the region.
He is totally consumed with pushing his Transformational Changes (expanding Government, bankrupting the nation through unaffordable social programs and expanding control over it’s citizens) towards Socialism.
If the president is going to give money away, why isnt he giving it to American citizens dealing with that huge spill in the gulf? $400M can go a long way to securing the economy here in the USA

With all the expedience to ruin our economy and overturn the set foundation of this country with this admin, I’m in fear of where we will be in a not too distant future. its really interesting in a scary way that I see things happening or the feel of what it was like when I lived in Honduras !! where the wealthy were very wealthy and the rest of the people were pretty much poor as dirt almost no middle class whatsoever and the wealthy were so small in numbers and so controlling of what the others did it was insane
