NYTimes Article

I thought it was a pretty decent article (minus firearms). I liked the graphic of the broken down bag too. Now, to find that survival axe/hammer/shovel…

Article

Not too bad for a rag…:dirol:

No mention of guns.

Nice of those people to stock up for those who would take it.

The last thing I would want anyone to know about me in NYC is that I was a prepper. What a huge target I would be.

IMHO I don’t imagine a majority of NY’ers even consider them a possibility- they have been conditioned to be deprived…

Even as they step in the mud left there by Sandy, “It could never happen, crazy people…”

“To the unprepared, the very word “prepper” is likely to summon images of armed zealots hunkered down in bunkers awaiting the End of Days, but the reality, at least here in New York, is less dramatic. Local Preppers are doctors, doormen, charter school executives, subway conductors, advertising writers and happily married couples

-as they are in every other town

No No they would have you believe that “preppers” anywhere else are crazy, like the guy in Alabama who kidnapped that little boy.
