NY SAFE Act nabs the first victim.

If he had done this in TN, it would have been perfectly legal.

Shall not be infringed.

Thought the law was put on hold via a judge?

Injunction was nixed by a higher judge.

And as part of the sting, it was my understanding that he sold to a “felon.” I’m not judging that aspect, but he broke way more laws than just the SAFE act.

Yeah, that part I get, and he should be arrested. But the SAFE Act charges are something else.

Guess they need to make an example from the get go.

Not that the SAFE Act has any bearing…I can’t believe it was conceived or allowed to stand to begin with, but then again, the sky is a different color in my world than theirs.

I am not trying to nit pick this, but that gun would have been illegal in NY prior to the current ban so he could have been arrested four months ago and charged with the same thing.

Plus the polymer mags were illegal too.

Not that I agree with the old law but this guy was a friggen idiot.

I can’t believe anyone (except somebody knowingly engaged in weapon trafficking to a state where it is illegal) would be stupid enough to try and sell something like that to anyone in NY for any reason.

Even worse, Bloomberg now has a “see I told ya so” example.

The citizens of NY can sleep a little sounder in their beds tonight.

Can’t really say I’m surprised NYSP in Chautauqua especially in the North end of the county do not really have much else to do.
