you want and say whatever makes you happy…

I dunno, I feel he’s incorrect about certain perceptions of the rifle. However, seeing as he’s looking at it from the point of view of a retired US Air Force Lt. Col. (How many of us here made it that far in our careers, I didn’t even come close) and not a primary combat arms troop or operator, I think he’s discussing it for a different role than what most of us here envision it for. From what I’ve seen of his offerings, he’s more the prepper/trying to get by in troubled times kind of guy as opposed to the “Imma stomp a new mud hole in that sumbitch and walk it dry” kinda guy. So I think you have to take it in context of what role he’s planning on taking up if there’s trouble.
As for calling him names while sitting behind a keyboard, that’s hardly a professional attitude, say it to his face, or at least call him out on his youtube whatever the hell you call it. Also considering what he’s done for the guys who covered our asses from the air, you really oughta rethink your choice of words. Just sayin’.

I don’t agree with Jack saying he is a “clown”. But I have dealt with Jack a few times and he is a great guy. And is completely right about generations of the rifle and that most of Knights customers aren’t going to choose anything because that guy says so. He is really way off about some stuff. If you don’t believe me watch a bunch of his videos and see for yourself. And trust me my Mod0 was excellent. And trust me I’m just a loyal customer of Knights. RRA’s are good for the cost and I would pick it over a Bushmaster or DPMS but nothing else. But for me if I was going to buy a rifle around that price I would buy a Colt or BCM anyways.
The guy claims to have found these various goofy quotes regarding the SR-15 on gun forums such as this that I’ve never read, reviews a legacy SR-15 that has had who knows how many rounds through it and either doesn’t discuss or briefly touches on things like the E-3 bolt, mod 2 gas system, double pinned press fit mod 1 gas blocks, 2 stage match trigger, ambi everything, SOPMOD Stock (while maybe out of favor I agree, it’s not a cheap stock), URX3.1 & URX 4 (both of which are very high quality), KAC BUIS (not on his gun but they come with all uppers/rifles and are highly regarded), KAC charging handle (very high quality and under appreciated, it ain’t breaking). He failed to mention the ballistic radio test, the various SR-15s that have gone ridiculous 10s of thousands of rounds through highly regarded instructors hands and not broken a bolt (minimal if any parts breakage overall) that are still running like tops and accurate, he failed to mention how even suppressed SBR SR-15s simply don’t break bolts over the generous life expectancy of the barrel.
He also gave misinformation implying people who buy these rifles do so because “operators” use them. Last I checked, no .mil units are using the SR-15 Or even the SR-16 (someone please correct me if I’m wrong), he’s confusing it with its larger brother the SR-25.
And lastly it would have also been cool if he’d have acknowledged why it is called the STONER RIFLE (SR)-15, but I digress, I think you get the idea.
Actually, if this lot is anything like me and my mates, yes, yes they would and they’d get into a knock down, drag out brawl over it. I’ve broken teeth over less.

Except his “review” is filled with factually incorrect information from the start.
Lets dissect that.
“Mod 0, Mod 1, Mod 2 all pretty similar” Mod 2 is NOTHING like the Mod 0 or the Mod 1. The gas system alone is so different that anyone could see that.
“SR-15 is used in the US military”, That is news to me…
“I dimple or flute all my SPR builds. The Mod 1 had no dimpling the Mod 2 might” pffft… the KAC patented dimpling was in the Mod1 SBR, they invented the damn thing.
“That is a stupid statement, you are saying this is better than a BCM, better than a Colt, JP, LWRC, Delton, S&W the list goes on and on… In my book no” how can you even defend THAT stupid ass statement? Delton, S&W? are you ****ing kidding me?
“The QD end is bye bye, the mod 2 has a standard end plate I could be wrong” Ya… you are wrong but I though the mod0-mod2 are pretty similar? You are suppose to be giving factual information and you don’t even know the details on the Mod2? It is on their website for Christ sake. take the 10 seconds and look.
I could go on and on… but that is just a small sampling of why that review is not filled with an opinion but a tremendous amount of bullshit.
If he wants to call it over priced that is his opinion, and cost means different things to different people. I’m sure many would agree it is out of their price range.
So yes ,he is a clown, if someone is going to review something he should at least do the diligence to get it right. Bad or Good.
He is not one of our own… I would expect one of our own to do some fact checking before dumping on a rifle and company he knows nothing about.
I can read a spec sheet for one, so that instantly makes me more qualified. Which is not saying much…
I don’t think he’s a bad dude but I personally don’t base firearms purchases off his reviews or most internet guys for that matter. I disagree with his review and think this review was a no go from the start. Kac is a higher end ar and you either think it’s a great value or you don’t. rock river is a good company, but a different tier of brand.
Can we stop with all this overly-democratic “it’s his opinion, mannn” crap? The “he’s a gun owner so we can’t criticize or ostracize” junk? Nutnfancy is a clown. He is a know-nothing. He’s a moron who blathers on for 45 minutes about cerakoted SOG knives and Maxpedition packs other tactical garbage. His opinion means jack because he’s a fraud and ignorant, he’s misleading hordes of people, and picking fights with legitimate, progressive companies over old designs. It’s like reviewing a 1993 Mercedes/BMW and complaining it’s not as feature rich as your 2015 Kia.
Let’s call a spade a spade. Barack Obama is a clown, and so is Nutnfancy. Just like Obama’s opinion on guns shouldn’t matter to us in a factual way, neither should Nutn’s. Dude’s a joke. It’s not namecalling. It’s just honest.
What makes me qualified to say that? Because I’m a lot smarter than Nutn and obviously know a lot more about AR-15s than him. So do most here.
