Nutnfancy Reviews an SR-15

I’ve never really liked the man’s reviews. Just something about them. But I can agree the rifles are hyped up.

I had a Mod1. It had some issues and wouldn’t run. Was also missing parts. KAC fixed the issues.

I almost believed my life would change after getting one. It was ok. Some great features no doubt. But realistically it’s not something out of this world. I regret selling it mostly becuase the mod one is in my opinion the best looking rifle on the market.

If the parts weren’t so highly priced I probably would have kept it. The cost of a spare BCG and a barrel nut wrench is almost as much as a 6920. Or at least was when I owned mine.

I really regret passing on a Mod 1 when AIM Surplus had them in stock. I told myself I should buy it, but after just building my BCM I couldn’t justify the extra cost. I now kick myself for not taking the plunge. These new mod 2’s are even more intriguing.

They aren’t over hyped. They are a great rifle. Its their reliability that makes them great. Probably the best in the industry for reliability except maybe the HK 416. Knights will tell you if you want the best accuracy go with another manufacture but if you want reliability to go with them.

You will never replace that bolt group, they have gone upwards of 80,000 rounds without breaking. you will a least go through 2 barrels before you would need to worry about replacement.

here at the end of the full test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvPmJYcgBSo

We fired 20,000 rounds through this rifle, poured 50 lbs. of sand on it, again, THEN shot it! You’ll never guess what happens!

From their youtube listing:

In all seriousness, thanks everyone so much for following the KAC test on the Ballistic Radio Facebook page. Special thanks to www.freedommunitions.com for donating the ammunition used in this test.

Final Round Count: 20,145
Cleanings: Zero
Malfunctions: Zero
Final Accuracy Test: 1.1" edge to edge 5 shot group at 100 yards.

Yeah and he caters to the crowd that needs its confirmation bias, so he accomplished that but we all know what he did there. To bad so many people will be fooled by that!.

I also didn’t realize that my being fortunate enough to own one also made me a tier 1 operator that’s pretty sweet right!?

Doesn’t really matter, those people never intended and will never get one. However, the “I can gat a tavor for that money” cracks me up.

That was my favorite comment. Have fun with that coat hanger trigger linkage, bull pup dweeb.

CGN: Home of “just as good as”

The KAC SR series of rifle have a following for a reason. Not hype. In fact KAC marketing sucks gorilla balls compared to their competitors. Eugene Stoner himself had a hand in the design improvements. Funny how dickface failed to mention that altogether.

I’m astonished by the sheer number of goofball cheerleaders commenting on the video… What else would you expect by the same “reviewer” who was in awe over the KSG and all of its superb quality. lol

Hey, I love my KSG. It has been flawless for me so far but haven’t put that many down range yet I guess. I don’t like Keltec. But not a single malfunction yet. And very accurate with slugs. But I have also seen many videos with problems. QC issues I would bet. But again its Keltec. lol, but you cant even put Keltec anywhere near Knights. Way different ends of the spectrum.

Let’s keep things in perspective here. What astonishes me is
that when someone is so quick to disagree with someone in
the context of what their opinion is on a certain firearm, how
quick they are to resort to name calling, and questioning their
intelligence and basically their right to form an
opinion. Remember this one thing guys… He is on the
same team as all of us. You may not agree with him, and
you say you may not like him, but is that really true? I’m
pretty sure he stands for the same things you do. Whether or not
you still don’t like him, I’ll bet you one thing… that he
puts more rounds down range and trains with his rifles more
than about 95% of the guys on this forum. He has formed an
opinion buy putting his hands on the product. He is entitled to
this. He has done nothing to warrant calling him a dickhead,
an idiot, tool, or other like comments i’ve seen on this thread. And
if you watch the video, he says that it’s a great rifle. He says this. His
opinion is that it’s must not upper echelon price worthy. He
has said nothing wrong here. I’ll just throw it out there and say
I agree with him. I would still love to own one but I agree that they are
a bit hyped. As far as the accuracy goes, he is not the first one I have
heard to have said they have experienced the same thing. A dear friend of
mine who was former 7th group even said they used to have a nickname, and it
was something lighting… can’t remember exactly, but the premise was
that they called it this because it never hit in the same place
twice. (kinda funny). This was years ago and i’m sure the issues
have been remedied… or have they seeing his test? My point is that
his reviews are always well thought out and articulated, and most of us
could not do much better. He is out there doing it people… running
and gunning. Like I said most on here are not doing what he is. You guys are
tearing down one of our own on here. I value a place of respectful
discussion and debate vs a place where just because someone doesn’t
agree with me I feel the need to defend my purchase. Let’s get it
together guys and roll on.

That being said. I agree with the name calling. I like the guy but please don’t believe everything he says. He does put alot of rounds down range. And yes he is one of us. But I don’t agree with him. His opinion on what one knights rifle on accuracy? Really. I have owned more than one and one of which was a mod0(the one he has) and I could get sub moa on all the ones I owned with match ammo and all of them have been SBR’s. If I remember correctly their barrels are made by Colt “Canada” and are Hammer Forged and are the only ones that use them in the US and will eventually be used by Colt “USA”. How about the torture test review that I posted showing after 20,000+ round still having a 1.1 moa without match ammo? What in the world do you get from any other manufacture for close to below or above Knights price that you dont get from them? I cant tell you what you do get above the rest! Knights rifles come with features none of the rest do. And the ones who come with a few of the features Knights has are priced higher. Knights is a top Tier manufacture and still priced below most of them. I paid more for my LWRC and still had to put money into it to get it up to the knights level(a lot more). I dont want to get into the piston vs DI debate but there were other parts that I needed to replace for the rifle to run as long and good as my Knights out of the box. And yes Stoner redesigned the AR-15 for Knights. He was given unlimited resources to make his design better and that is what he came up with. SR stands for Stoner Rifle. And there have been many more refinements over the years. Knights sells some crazy priced stuff sometimes I will admit that. Their whole rifles are not one of those things. Now my Triple tap is but it does work great and is a mount for my NT4!! To buy their bolt seprate is also crazy but it comes in the rifle and I would love to here of someone that broke one(their E3 bolt)!! like I said I have heard of two top teir trainers one of which put over 60,000 rounds through a Knights rifle without breaking anything and it still held a 2 moa at that point and the other put 80,000 and only changed a few parts. Do you know the only reason we even know about Knights rifles is because of how good they are? They have never advertised to the public. They are mainly a military manufacturer and the civilian market is secondary to them. I guess in your opinion while we were telling how good the rifle is we over hyped it?? Because Knights never did themselves unlike all other manufactures. For the longest time most had never even heard of them and it still is to some degree. I don’t know how much over hype there is, its not going to make your coffee but its a damn good rifle. Please do me a favor add up the cost of comparable products(from other manufactures) that makes up an SR-15 and see if its priced bad. Then look at the rest of the industry the exact same way. Not even that half the stuff on the knights is better anyways. They are a damn Top Teir military manufacture along with research and design firm specific for the military. Their products are ALL military tested!! You cant say that about any other manufacturer period.

The guy’s opinion is stupid, and rightfully ought to be called out as such.

It may make some feel good to try and legitimize everyone’s opinion, but when your opinion is retarded…

Nutnfancy sounds like he has legit Aspergers.
This clip doesn’t help his cause. He has decent intentions but he can’t stop Sperging out.

I agree that the name calling and belittling in this thread are concerning. The fact that a representative of KAC is on here referring to nutnfancy as a “clown” is even more concerning. That is extremely unprofessional and frankly kind of embarrassing for KAC.

I’m not the biggest fan of nutnfancy, but I appreciate the time and effort he puts into his reviews. Viewers can pick and choose what they get out of his videos.

Clown College…

Any one supporting him…well…I won’t say anymore.

BTW this thread title is simplistically funny…“nuthnfancy reviews an SR-15”…has an “ernest goes to camp” ring to it…now that is a role that nuthnfancy would fit right into.

We should all just take nutnfancy’s advice and sell our good guns and buy RRA’s

So I guess I attended Clown College too? Message boards are filled with tough guys and comedians. I don’t know you, but I would guess that you wouldn’t call nutnfancy a “clown” to his face. Or tell him he should star in “Ernest goes to college”. Maybe you’ll tell me you’re a tough guy and in fact would say it to his face, but in my adult lifetime I can’t recall any adult ever going up to another adult (they don’t know) and say the kind of things you are espousing here. So if it fills a need in your life or makes you feel better about yourself to call him (and anyone who supports him) names, go ahead.

Guess so? Not gonna read your whole heart filled diatribe. I stopped at you wouldn’t say it to his face…Yes, I would.
