May be a stupid ?. But will these fit the TRX rails with the holes or are the ones with the slots, the E slot mentioned above? Thanks.
Intriguing…send me a set and I’ll get pics up before stick…![]()
Off-topic (slightly), but is there some equivalent in the works for this mounting, but affixing an MRDS such as the Deltapoint or RMR?
Being that you can only mount these on a Troy rail, I would think that the Dueck RTS would be more versatile. I’m very eager to try them…

I think MarkM’s point is being lost. With the Duek sights, you can get the rear aperture just as close to your eye as it would be if it were a regular 12:00 mounting. The rear sight can be mounted right above the charging handle, instead of forward on the tube.
Aperture sights do in fact need to be close to your eye(rather the aperture does, because of the way the eye naturally centers the front sight. When you move that further away, your eye has to deal with two different visual planes as opposed to looking THROUGH the aperture…further away you must look at it. Not that it doesn’t work…if they won’t be sold as a set I might buy the front sight and marry it to a Duek rear to save some money over the complete Duek set…if they’ll line up of course.
Not saying it doesn’t work really well for professional shooters, but that it doesn’t seem ideal for me.
Mark’s point was the rear aperture MUST be near the eye to BE EFFECTIVE. This isn’t true. However, it is true that they lose much of their advantage over a notch style rear sight as the aperture is mounted further from the eye.
This doesn’t mean I recommend using aperture sights in place of notch type sights using a forward mounting location
Some updated photos with some revisions… Cut out the peep, going to enlarge it some more and go test it out.

Now we’re talking…![]()
Any chance these will work with the TROY/VTAC rails?
Or for that matter JP tubes?
Nice!
BTW to keep this in perspective, except for the cant, this setup is basically what AK47s have as their primary sights…
LOL, I was waiting for a report to print today and was checking the forums. This was the first I’ve heard of this. You guys should have brought one to SHOT.![]()
Did these ever go into production? They seem perfect with the fiber pipe on the front sight and the rear sight being comparable to a rear pistol sight or csat sight. I’m more into hunting and I can’t tell you how many times I have missed opportunities because I couldn’t pick up an animal in my sight.
They are about to go into production now.
The fiber front is from HIVIZ, if you just want one for your standard sights. Available from Brownells, Midway, etc.
No I’m looking for offset sights. I just swapped my larue mount for a lower NF unimount 1.125 so I can get better cheek weld. I have been hoping lower offset sights would come to market. The plus is I’m left handed and these appear to be truly universal. Are these still going to be made for the troy trx or the new nsr?
They should be coming soon, Todd K had the final ones for review last week. These will be available for the Troy rails and the Noveske NSRs (or any other Key Mod rail ).
I saw this thread pop back up and it immediately had me wondering if it was a Keymod option.
