Now This is a Gun Auction!

Someone had this linked on another forum but I know there are some members here into rare firearms and, while my knowledge is pretty limited, this auction looks like it has some very interesting stuff.

The auction house is James D. Julia, Inc. in Fairfield, Maine (http://jamesdjulia.com/) and here’s the link to some of the highlights in the Oct. 4-5, 2011 auction: http://jamesdjulia.com/auctions/div_catalog_308_sh.asp

Here are the lots for the first session (which includes the sixth Colt AR-15 out of an initial production run of 20 from 1959): http://jamesdjulia.com/auctions/div_catalog_308.asp?pageREQ=1

Give this page a minute or two to load as it is chock full of a ton of firearms. Steyr, get out your checkbook cuz this looks right up your alley.

Christ on a stick… that’s an impressive collection.

#1009-

**NEAR MYTHICAL EXTRAORDINARILY RARE COLT AR-15 MODEL 1 ORIGINAL SELECT FIRE TEST RIFLE KNOWN AS “THE COCONUT RIFLE”. SN 000106. Cal. 223. Extraordinary AR-15, the sixth one ever made by Colt with 20" tapered rnd bbl and orig 3-pronged brush catcher flash hider.

wow… those are some amazing things.

The guy’s got an StG-44!
That is all.

HOLY SHIT!

I would seriously give both my pinky fingers for that shotgun collection…hell for just the Parkers!!!

MP40’s and StG44’s are C&R?

If I didn’t come to my senses in terms of 9x19mm subguns, I would have put in a bid for the Ingram MAC-10s.

They had a write up about that one in Small Arms Review this month. I wonder if it will end up in the Reed Knight collection.

The wife told me I had to get rid of some guns so…my loss is your gain!

Any minty Baby Colt Pattersons in the original case with goodies?
I have seen those in beautiful uptown Fairfield .
It’s right off I-95 , if you ever get up that way. Like being in a museum

I want to see the arm-wrestling contest between Templar and SteyrAUG for that collection.

Raw power versus martial arts - hehehe!!

I “wish” I was collecting those kinds of guns.

As a “regular guy” I have one of the most impressive collections on the internet. But as a “gun collector” I can barely ante up to get in the game. I know some serious business gun collectors and they spend more on guns in a single year than my entire collection is worth.

anyone add it all up yet?

The last Colt Walker sold at aution fetched $920,000!

This gentlman has one in his collection.

I have only seen one in person at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame in Waco, TX.

Their catalog is a work of art…I had this Hoffman on consignment a while back:

I have the C&R FFL Just don’t have the Cash BOO!!!:frowning:

I used to lust after a Madsen in 30-06 or a SIG LMT in 308, select fire of course.
