Noveske Uppers - again!

Apologies for bringing up because I know we’ve been here recently, but does anyone have the latest on ETAs from them for their new upper orders? I ordered mine 1st week in Dec, but haven’t had a reply to any of my enquiries asking about delivery dates.

I ordered a n4 middy basic upper November 8 and they told me via telephone it should be here this week if not the next week. So its about a 6-8 week wait if this helps you at all.

Thanks Jman!

i heard from a very reliable source that Noveske is going under…, bankrupt !!

i know one thing for certain…, their barrels are nothing but crap !! at least the one i had, after about 2,000 rounds it was “throwing” bullets at 100 yds. in a 6 foot pattern and every damn shot on target was a “keyhole”.

being as this barrel was installed by the mfgr. who bought the Noveske barrels are going to replace the barrel with one guaranteed for 20,000 rounds +

Huh?

.

Something this serious should not be speculated on openly in a forum like this. If it is true that would be tragic to say the least. If not you would be potentially damaging a small business that has worked hard to build a stellar reputation over many years.

As to the barrel, if this is in fact true, I am sure John would make it right as it’s probably one of literally ten of thousands that would be bad. In fact, Noveske’s barrels are some (if not) the most accurate barrels made today (not just my opinion, but shared among many other users and manufacturers). You are the exception.

This kind of post belongs on AFCOM, not here!

Agree 100%

It is inappropriate to post this kind of unsubstantiated speculation. It is also inappropriate to post about an issue with a manufacturer’s product without some kind of attempted path to resolution.

Negative on going bankrupt. They have more money than they know what to do with.

There barrels are simply the best in the business. It is however possible for a bad barrel to get out (every manufacturer does it).

What a jackass. I seem to remember reading some of his other posts where it appeared that he had some type of beef with Noveske.

I don’t know about you guys but I love throwing money away on Noveskes crappy guns.

How could any high end AR manufacturer be going bankrupt right now? They are probably desperate to hire good people to to try and keep up with demand.

I could see there being problems for all of these guys in a year or so if the economy continues to tank and AWB2 comes out but for now they are probably in the best business in the country.

Yeah, axe to grind methinks. The ones I’ve shot have been superb.

I just cry when I go into one of the local shops, 2-4 Noveske upper’s for sale , 2 with switchblocks (last checked today to boot as I look for a LMT/BCM). Wife would kill me if I got one, though it would not be because of buying a Noveske, be because the funds from her build would be all used up.

Wife who shoots - good, because you don’t have to rationalize it to her.
Wife who shoots - bad, figure if its nice, cost is double for the ‘hers’ version.

Deleted.

“OldNavyGuy” Tear a chunk of your skull from the middle of your forehead and show me you have a brain. Pictures or it didn’t happen. Had to say it!!

What a great site!!!

6 foot circle? Is that even possible? I’ve never seen anything like that. Sounds like torocaca to me.

This was what I was thinking…

If your source is so reliable, then let him come on here and tell us himself. If not, then it is second, or third hand crap, that has no place here. Bull shit flag on the field.

Unless you rec’d the one defective barrel that got out, not likely. My Noveski barrel shoots one hole at most distances.

BTW, if Noveski is doing so badly and they are selling stock, bonds, or just looking for a partner, give me a call…

Ignoring retardation above, and carrying on with the thread…

They’re not actively taking phone orders at the moment, and their wait time is expected to be anywhere between 6-18 weeks on average, though a lot of the early november orders have already been filled.

They’ve switched over to only selling in-stock items (for now, and given the strain of huge backorder numbers, this is a very wise move imo), but online ordering is still up and running.

I had a great phone conversation on Tuesday, and they’re still totally willing to make substitutions and changes I’m looking for, which is awesome.

My order/estimate date was 11/13. fingers crossed

Just got my ETA from Joel for the order placed on 12/4…

“Hopefully by Feb!”

Not sure whether that means before Feb or by the end of Feb, but I still have a warm fuzzy feeling knowing it’s on the way!
