Noveske Switchblock upper options.

Im selling my Mk18 upper and going with one of Noveske’s Switchblock uppers and having a hard time deciding.

  1. 10.5" Switchblock upper with 9.5" rail and AAC M4-2000 (or Mini4 depending on release timeframe)

  2. 12.5’ Switchblock upper with 9.5" rail and AAC SPR/M4.

Can will be on the gun 50-75% of the time. Will be used for local carbine classes and range plinking. Target distance no more than 100 yards.

I remember one of Stick’s side by side pictures of the 2 upper/can combos listed they looked about the same overall length.

The M4-2000 adds only 2/10" more than the SPR/M4, so the 10.5" version would be almost 1.8" shorter overall with your listed barrel and can combos.

I have an LMT MRP CQB with a 10.5" barrel and the M4-2000 and it looks and works great.

Just looked at their switchblock uppers - the 10.5" would be pretty sweet. Hard to believe the rail is actually 9.5" as it ends right on top of the suppressor mount.

The 12.5" one would be a great host for the SPR/M4 can though, it’d fit very nicely. Both great choices in my opinion.

I’m going with the 10.5" switchblocked Noveske barrel as well and I don’t think that a 9.5" rail will work with the switchblock because of the carbine length gas system, unless of course you are cutting an access hole in the rail. Just a heads up, but let me know if Noveske has told you something different.

I think he is getting the complete noveske upper…

Thanks for the info. Im leaning towards the 10.5", especially if I can snag an Mini4, should be nice and compact.

The Noveske 9.5" rail is designed for the Switchblock.

That’s what im planning on with the brakeout once you get the lowpro lites back in stock.

I’d find out what the weight difference is between the two setups. I imagine the 10.5/M4-2000 config will be a bit lighter.
