Just got my first AR, a Noveske Recce. My question is very simple. The front sling mount is at 6:00. What is the best and possibly cheap way to have the sling mounted on the side. I know I could add rails etc to mount it. Is there a better way.This is my first post, thanks for the professionals patience on this.

This will work an is only $20.00. You can use it on the front sight base like they show or you can remove your handgards, loop it and then slide it up your delta ring and re-install handgards to have a more rearward attachment point.
We use heavy duty thick zip ties and zip tie the 6 o’clock sling mount to the barrel. If you do it like this run the zip tie undet the FSB gas tube not over it.
It basically makes a double sided HK sling loop. I use single point and VTAC slings and just put an HK clip up front and snap it through. They work like a charm and don’t cost anything.
We fire on full auto all the time without any problmes. We run Colt Commandos. No issues at all after about 10 years like this.
Some have stated (former snipers) that there might be accuracy issues with it touching the barrel but that is BS. We have shot with and without and no loss of accuracy or impact changes. If the zip tie wears out I just put another one on.
Might want to consider this design, replaces standard sling adapter and puts it at 9.
Must have bayonet lug! Also provide rail for attaching other devices. I am one of Ed’s happy customers, he ships fast.
