I know its meant for SBRs but what do you guys think of a KX3 on a 13 inch barrel pinned on with a Larue 13.2in handgaurd. I think it might look pretty slick, but I just cant quite put it together in my mind. It might look cool, but on the other hand it could look like hell. Anyone have a pic of a similar setup. TIA

Here’s an older build I’ve since gotten rid of. It’s a 13.7 with the 11" LT handguard.

On that length you’d be better off having the longer barrel instead of the Flaming Pig. Think about velocity, accuracy & weight on the end of that long barrel.
How much would accuracy/velocity diminish with the shorter barrel?

Check out the other thread running in here on the KX3. They’re cool and all, but personally, I wouldn’t put together something like that again.

On Noveske’s website it states that the KX3 is “classified as a flash suppressor by the BATF FTB.”
What does this mean for the average consumer? Is there anything illegal about me, regular Joe, owning one of these? Why is the BATF concerned about this?

That’s to inform people that live in restricted states that only allow muzzle brakes that they cannot have them. Those in free states can legally own them. The Phantom and Vortex is also a flash suppressor.
Thanks. I’m a Texan, so I can pretty much own anything. I think they frown on plutonium implosion devices down here, but that’s about it.
