I have long had the opinion that SBR’s need to have fixed front sights in stalled them. The two main reasons is that is that they offer the strongest gas block available and if your optic goes down, the front sight is up and ready to go.
With that thought in mind, I had the good folks at BCM install F marked FSB’s on some Noveske 10.5 and 12.5 barrels. These FSB’s are the correct height for flattops and are held in place with taper pins (just like Colt). The cost is also inline with what you would pay for a low profile gas block so they won’t add any extra cost to the barrels.
Is this FSB option something that can only be purchased from G & R? Are can you order it straight from Noveske like that? Also, can KG coating still be applied? Sorry for all the questions
Grant, Adco, and I built a LMT/Noveske 10.5" like this a few years ago. This was before Noveske offered his barrels pre-drilled for standard FSB pins so mine got sloted & set screwed by the boys at Adco using a standard LMT FSB.
Vltor mid-length VIS with an nfa-legal Infidel/KX3 with a forged & pinned FSB is what I want for my next upper. Hook me up Grant…I’ll gladly give you two cheeseburgers tomorrow for that upper today .
