I think the rack and pinion mechanism that’s central to this rifle’s design is really interesting and clever.
That being said, I’ve never shot any type of lever gun. Would you say that the R&P gears are an improvement [and/or smoother] over the traditional lever?
Also, that this rifle has a detachable mag, I can see the pros and cons about that too. In my book, the BLR is the Winchester 1895 of modern times, am I right?

Years ago I hunted w/a fellow who used a BLR in 243, he was deadly with that thing, off the bench it was a legit 1 MOA rifle…
I was using my X-FIL’s 1964 winchester model 88 i 308, with a Bauch & Lomb scope, the adjustments were in the mounts, not the scope.
The difference in the two were night and day w/the edge to the BLR.
