This is going the rounds apparently.

Dick Act of 1902:
"The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities. "

I’ve heard of that, but didn’t know what it was.

If it were true we would not be having these debates right now. Sounds like one of those obscure cases that the sovereign citizens like to use to justify not getting drivers licenses or paying taxes but they still end up in jail.

Exactly. Show me the actual text of this law that give the right to bear any weapon. Everything surrounding this law on the net that refers to the 2nd Amendment is from somebody’s blog.

It says it only has bills from 1989 on but I’ve found older bills on there in the past.

Also I found this

So it appears it has to do only with the establishment of the National Guard and not a militia.
