Looking to do an old lower in DD’s SOCOM DE. Norrel’s has a flat brown but it doesnt appear close from what Ive seen. Looks a little too reddish. Anyone tried mixing colors to get a match? Your ratios and pics would be much appreciated.
Not sure about ratios, but I can tell you that the moly resin flat tan applies noticeably lighter than what is shown on their website’s color swatch.
The flat brown may not apply in the same shade as the swatch.
You are in luck sir! I had the same complaint, it looked more brick red than brown to me, I made adjustments. Mix in 10% Flat Black and you will get this:

Heavy Metal, that’s awesome! Thanks, I really appreciate it. The receivers look greyish for the most part from the light, but Im looking at the top of the delta ring and it looks like a good match. Did you by any chance get to compare it to a DD rail?
No comparison but If I had to describe the shade, I would say it is about the same shade as a UPS truck.
Just colt the rail when you do the reciever and they will match.
