I did a forum search and didn’t find anything helpful, so here is my specific question:
What hand guards work on a DPMS LR308 AP4?
I want to replace the stock heavy ass hand guards with something made from a good composite. I know that Magpul makes a composite hand guard, but i dont know if it’ll fit. Will any AR15 hand guard fit on an AR10? I wouldn’t think so since the barrel is thicker, but hell i don’t know!

Daniel Defense makes one, it’s light, and it rocks.
AR15 rails will typically not fit. I’m pretty sure the fit of the MOE handguards are dictated by the interaction of the delta ring. I am pretty sure the ring is bigger on the .308 guns.

i checked out their website. Looks like you can get some add ons that allow for a picatiny rail system. Do you have any experience with that? Any suggested places for purchase?
The daniel defense is just too steep for me. I just ordered parts for my bike and i still need an optic…kinda gotta skimp somewhere.

I have no experience with them other than looking and considering building a carbine with some. That’s about as far as I got. Budgets suck, don’t they?
