Noob Castle Nut Question

Hello:

New to the forum and I have a noob question. I purchased a complete Saber Defence lower from a well known internet dealer who installed a mil-spec buffer tube and Magpul CTR stock on the lower. However, the castle nut is on backwards ie. the small slots are pointing towards the CTR. Will this cause me to have problems later on or can I just stake the castle nut as is? Thank you in advance for your replies.

The small slots where the wrench grips should be facing the stock, I thought that is how it is supposed to be?

ETA: After looking at my AR’s there is a second set of “smaller” notches that face the reciever. Doh!:o

If it were my stock, before I’d stake it, I’d remove it and reinstall it correctly, it takes 5 mins to do. OTOH, I don’t see what would be particularly wrong with it backwards either.
