Noob buffer question.

I just replaced my A2 stock with an adjustable, but through some phone calls and store visits, it seems any weight carbine length buffers are getting very scarce.
I think I may have found one, but if this scarcity gets worse, has anyone ever cut down a rifle buffer and adjusted the weight to make it work?

Uh no. You do not want to try and cut your buffer to make it fit. There are parts out there you only need to use your Google-Fu. I just found exactly what you need at Bravocompanyusa.com in 0.35 seconds. They even have the correct spring as well.

We have tons of mil-spec buffers in stock: http://www.gandrtactical.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?search=action&category=GRTA

Grant,

Sorry I thought you were out. B Co. just happened to be the first Google hit.

If I was Noveske, I’d get the iron cross engraved on the face of some mil spec buffers and list them on the site.

There’d be a 5 week back log to fill the orders.

mark,

Better yet someone should stamp the side of them “Use for xxxx application”. Do not cut to fit.
