That’s the best explanation of the MD cut differences I’ve seen. Thanks for that ![]()
Good review fellas. The MD cut info was informative. There were a couple of designs in that specific model I was unaware of. I live close by. Hopefully in the near future I can take some classes with y’all.

Well done guys. We will have some new belt loop options being released which will quickly make this video outdated in those areas, but good overall review nonetheless. ![]()
Excellent review and great job on explaining the MD cut.
Thanks for the excellent review.
Excellent review.
Is there any way to adjust the retension on the phantom LC line?
Good review, good explanation of the MD cut!
I don’t get what was reviewed? Though I really appreciate the effort put into the video as a whole, but I just don’t get what you were reviewing. To me, it seemed like you were just showcasing the product 80% of the time with 20% on the actual review. I guess I was more looking for an evaluation of a the Raven Phantom holsters versus as a ‘these are a couple of options RCS offers with their holsters, Phantom LC, AR mag carrier, rubber belt loops for IWB carry, etc’
Which style of “cut” did you prefer? How long and how harsh have you used the items? Did you find the MD Cut shield to help with your draw stroke since you could get a more positive grip? Pros and cons on the neutral cant versus the 10deg cant?

Details?
For me the 10 deg cant works. I sent my Phantom back too have them lower the body shield. The 10 deg is like the FBI cant on my Comp Tac Paddle. I don’t have pics thou. Just go by what’s in the vid. With the body shield out of the way. I can wear it at 3 or 4 position on my hip.
Great job, just makes me anxious for my holster to get here (hopefully in the next few weeks) as well as learning I need to add the straps for IWB carry.
Thanks for the vid. Would have helped me when I ordered mine. I had to change my order after learning more about the RCS systems. And Great CS from RCS.
Recieved mine last week!

Sure, I’ll have plenty of details…when it’s released. ![]()
If someone were to place an order for a holster, say, this week, would these options be available to them by the time their order was put together?
Awesome review…really great info.
No. We do not have any official release date for anything of ours in prototype stages. The way the holsters and loops are built now are what we built our reputation on, I am confident the gear you will receive will work great for you. That said, we are always evolving our line and when/if we find a section we can improve, we will. As always, we maintain what I believe to be the best warranty in the industry on everything we make.
Gentlemen,
I need to clear something up in regards to this video. There is no such thing as a ‘clipped corner’ modification, be it an MD Cut holster or a Standard.
We remove as much material as we can from our holsters, regardless of the cut. The MD Cut Light Compatible holsters, specifically, allow us to remove more material on the sides, making the holster appear thinner. This is more of a production cause and effect than it is a specific requirement of that holster.
If you’ll notice, a non light compatible MD Cut holster actually has pretty square corners, especially on the trail edge rivet line. This is a design requirement in order to have room for the full rivet line on the holster.
If nothing else, this shows that NOLATAC’s videos are making their way to our current and potential customers. We do appreciate the support guys.
Brannon- If you have this video posted anywhere else on the web, I ask that you add the above disclaimer to it.
Thanks,
Tom
Will add it to the video. Sorry about not articulating that properly.
No worries. I have just had a few emails about it in the last few days and wanted to head it off while we could.
Thanks guys.
