The relevant issue in my mind is that this government infringement upon this woman’s God given rights caused her to be defenseless in the face of a deadly criminal attack that she knew was coming.
If she was a felon too, or prohibited from gun ownership for some other reason then we have a big moral dilemma here that I don’t know how to solve. But if not, then the NJ government is partially responsible for this woman’s death in my opinion.

Apparently the murderer, Eitel, was a friend of Browne’s husband who died in a motorcycle crash. Eitel stepped in for “support” after the death of his buddy. Here is a picture of Eitel with a shaved head and a chest full of skull tattoos…just the kind of guy that every father wants for their daughter…
Also, Browne was a hairstylist…you can’t make this sh!t up.

I look at this as an abject failure of the state. It subjects it’s citizens to onerous laws in the name of “control”, when in fact they have none at all over POS scumbags like this guy. The best way to save her would’ve been keeping him in prison. Failing that, they should’ve let her defend herself. The worst part of it all is how they’ve indemnified themselves of their culpability. Crap like this is why I’d never set foot in that shithole of a state. :mad:
Amen to that. You bring up a good point and a major weakness in my original post. The point being that Ms. Browne would have saved herself by avoiding this insect, but that would not have helped all the other hairstylists named Amber who would have lined up in her place. The only way to make sure that he didn’t hurt anyone would have been to keep him in prison for the first charge, or at the very least arrest his ass once he started stalking her and damaging her property (I assume that the police lacked the evidence).
I would hate to be the family member to receive her approval to purchase a firearm in the mail, if it ever comes.
To be fair, one problem I have with current culture is the way we mollycoddle everyone. The human species will never evolve to it’s apex status as long as we protect those who could never keep themselves alive without intervention. It’s not a nurturing theory, but some people are just here to pee in the gene pool. We’d be better off without them.
