NJ legal LE6920 help

That’s a good point. I didn’t think about the cost. Those 6920s are so cheap now. I paid like 1500 for my mt6400c 2 yrs ago in a NJ gun shop. And Alex V has a point about having the stock pinned to the click stop you want instead of all the way out. All the way out works for me cause I’m tall. Also, I’ve never tried anything but all the way out. Maybe if I try one of the other settings I would like it.

FYI, don’t let them catch you with a part that will make a compliant rifle non compliant in NJ. Double check the law. But I think if you have a collapsable stock uninstalled and unpinned because you were gonna pin it yourself and then install it, you could get in trouble even if it’s not on the rifle yet. Same thing goes for a semi auto shotgun. In NJ a semi auto shotgun can’t have a collapsable or folding stock. If you have one with a regular stock installed, and you happen to have a collapsable stock laying around that fits it, I think you can get in trouble. It has something to do with having the parts to turn a compliant firearm into an assault firearm, if you also have a compliant firearm that the parts will fit on. So be careful.

In NJ we don’t need that mag button and we can have mags up to 15 rds. Used to be that you could block 20 or 30 rd ones to 15 with a piece of wood or something similar. Then they said that if you block it, it has to be permanently blocked. In other words you can block it but u gotta weld the floor plate on so it can’t be removed. And I don’t mean a few spot welds that can be removed. You really gotta weld it on there permanently. NJ really hosed us. In 1990 they came out with the assault weapons and high capacity mag laws and they did not grandfather anything in. So if you are caught with a mag that holds over 15 rds you will get in big trouble. And you can’t dispose of them because that is also a crime. So you were made a criminal over night.

Dang that has to suck and be a pain in the rear
I still think grants price on the colts is hard to
Beat ! I know he can take out the bullet button
And change the mags he said as much in his
Thread about colt on his sub forum ! Like I
Said it wouldnt hurt to ask ! As I think the op
Is going to do so maybe he’ll fill us in on what
G&R has to say about it !

That’s how you control people, you make them criminals.

It’s not worth the trouble and money for LE 6920 after a couple emails to SA. I think I’m going to do my own build for this AR thanks for all the info

That’s kinds how I came to the same conclusion. It’s just too much of a pain sometimes.

Some manufacturers will work with u and some won’t. What can you do?

All the taxes we pay and we still get punished by these liberal scum , I can’t believe people actually vote for them !

Just be sure to vote the way you write

This house Only votes for 2nd amendment respecting R’s. Which isn’t much in this state.

This thread has been dead for a bit but I will give my .02. I lived in nj and I bought a p.o.f. from sure shot in brick. I didn’t like the break on it so I bought an fsc in Arizona on a trip. $100 for the break. And then found a company on route 22 in hillsborough. I forget the exact name buy it was something armament. It was a little shop and basically was a house with overhead milling machine and a lathe. It was ran by an older gentleman who was very nice. I left my upper with him to put it on and about a week or so later he called to pick it up. $145 it ran me and I couldn’t have been more happy with the quality workmanship. He pinned it from the side at the bottom and left the pins edges as they were. I requested this bc he said he usually will make them flush and then blue it. Anyway I know it was pricey and I could’ve gotten it cheaper somewhere else now but it was worth it to me.

Nj laws are completely ridiculous aimed toward the can and cants.

So for magazines I acquired pmags in a 30 round state and converted them to 15rd and pinned the bottom closed. Illegal, probably, but at fort dix I never had a problem and no one ever asked me if they were 30rds. And that was my adventure with my p.o.f.

See if arms and ammo can do it. Colddeadhands.com

Was it Sarco Armory? They are of 22… nothing but Nazi memorabilia when I was there lol.

You can get already converted PMags for about $17… at $4 more than a non molested PMag… Illl just buy em and save the time.

BTW, I was hassled at Range14 regarding my 15/30 PMags.

Range 14?

I hate having to leave my ARs back home with may parents, oh well, one more year and I PCS.
