Nikon or bushnell?

Hey guys looking to put some glass on my ar. Right now it’s between the Nikon p223 3-9x40 or the bushnell ar. I’m interested in any other scope in that price range as long as it’s got magnification. Prob only be shooting up to 300 yards for coyote hunting etc.

Just wanted some opinions on which was a better scope. Thanks in advance

Nikon, but should probably ask in Optics & Mounts you’ll probably get more opinions there. https://www.m4carbine.net/forumdisplay.php?13-Optics-amp-Mounts

Sorry posting from Tapatalk on my phone. Can the mods move this?

Yes, they can, may try and PM one. I have the Nikon P223 3x32 I wish I would have got the 3-9x40.

Between the two the Nikon is better. Nikon makes their own glass and will usually have a superior product in the lower price ranges such as this.

Bushnell has gotten better in recent years and is capable of putting out an outstanding product (See their elite series)… but at this price point the Nikon wins hands down IMO.

Because you are asking about the “P” series, I can see cost is a factor. If your budget allows, their “M” series is really a good buy.

My opinion in this price point is Nikon is far superior in clarity.

Check out some of Vortex options as well.

Yeah there isn’t really a budget but I’m not gonna use it a lot so I hate to drop 1500 on a scope that is used a handful of times

The M series can be had for around $400-$450, no where near a $1500 price tag

I’d look at vortex PSTs also. I’d rate them above the Nikon. Better warranty, too.
