Nikon AR Series for 7.62 ?

Looking for a cheap 3x9 scope to play with (prefer iron) on my SR762 and see that Nikon has their P223 line up, but the only .308 scopes I see are the much higher priced M308, both of which are 4x16 and $500.

Am I missing a low end .308 scope in their line up?

If not, what would be suggested in the under $250 range for general plinking and non-duty use?

If you want a basic reticle a Nikon Prostaff may work for you. Under 200 at Walmart. GH
