…have a buddy who wants a scope for pig / varmint hunting.
I know gen 3’s are recommended but I honestly don’t know where or what to look for.
This will be a hunting application only & mounted on a turnbolt, so need to consider mounting harware as well.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.
Ive heard good things about the ITT NQ PVS-14. Ive been looking into night vision a bit and I may go with a helmet mounted system instead and put an IR laser on the weapon.

Another +1 for Vic and Chip. I just purchased an AN/PVS-14 whole shebang from them and not only is the optic great, the biggest thing I got out of it was the education. Seriously, call them up and they’ll steer you in the right direction.
