Nidal Hasan represents himself

The Fort Hood shooter represents himself. His opening statement:

“I am the shooter”

Personally, I think him representing himself is the best thing that could happen. He’ll fully expose the radical twisted thinking that otherwise would have been squashed by his defense team trying to keep him from the firing squad, or however the military hands down a death sentence these days in the rare occasions they do it.

He will ramble on about how he did in the defense of Muslims, or for Allah, or some such BS, and let people see the mentality of these types. His being educated and raised in the US will show it’s not just some “radicals” in a few countries most in the US can’t find on a map.

What should come out of it also hopefully was the fact he was a threat and made it feelings known well in advance that he was a threat.

What gravels my ass is this douche bag is still drawing a government check and has been paid almost $300K since his arrest.

This in addition to whatever ungodly amount of money this court martial is costing.

This case is a shining example of why we should NOT buy the Obama administration’s lines about NSA spying being necessary to protect us from terrorists.

The govt. and Army KNEW all about this bastard. They KNEW he was trouble and did nothing to protect Americans against this person.

Out of fear of offending Muslims or political correctness or whatever…big govt knew this guy was trouble but did not act on their intel and contain or discharge him.

Also, they obviously knew about the Boston bombers long before they struck and knew about the 9-11 hijackers as well.

So don’t buy this old saw about “we need to spy and collect your phone records to stop terrorists” nonsense.

There are too many cases where the govt knew about terrorists and did next to nothing to stop them before mayhem struck.

I bet this character walks…

Yep, getting full pay, and a chopper ride every day from jail…conducting his own defense ensures YEARS of appeals for the death penalty he deserves to receive.

From CNN (http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/06/justice/hasan-court-martial/index.html):

The Army psychiatrist charged with killing 13 comrades and wounding more than 30 delivered his own opening statement in his court-martial Tuesday, declaring, “I am the shooter.”

I don’t know about the rest of ya’ll, but I’m good. Cut! Print it! Hang the sonofabitch and don’t waste another minute or nickel on this POS.

Agreed. Its a confession from the horse’s mouth. Motive is of no consequence.

I’m good with that.

what should they have done to these people before they committed their acts? killed them? imprisoned them?

People wil still feel sorry for him, and he’ll skate.

If just ONE U.S. Soldier there had been ARMED… Patton must be rotating at 20,000rpm in his grave over that thought…

Hassan could have been discharged.

The Boston bombers could have been deported.

Ditto for the 9-11 hijackers…they knew these guys were in the US on expired student visas.

The govt. still admits that up to 15k people are here from Arab countries on expired student visas and they “claim” they have no idea where they are.

Yeah…something COULD have been done on info they collected…but they chose to do nothing.

So the “spying for your own safety” is a piss poor excuse and a violation of our rights. Safety …my ass!

OK, so maybe we should make an effort to round up some illegal aliens from south of the border. But before we get crackin’ on deporting the guys mowing our yards, how about we take a look for some of these assholes?

At least we’ve got a paper trail with these folks. We know they’re here, we know where they said they were going to be living, and, presumably, we have some contact lists for their family and/or friends.

Seriously, who’s the bigger threat?

that’s really your solution for preventing that guy from killing a lot of people? seriously? really? so you discharge him and that’s totally going to stop him from buying guns and shooting up a mall food court or an elementary school or a recruiting station. it’s a shame that they couldn’t keep a better eye on him, but until someone is in the middle of actually doing criminal something what can anyone do, even civilians let alone law enforcement? what would you have done if you worked next to that guy everyday? keep cross hairs on the back of his head every time he walked by???

even when an ill intentioned person is in the middle of something criminal how long can you watch? the person with bad intentions can always win the waiting game. are you really going to assign however many people to watch this one person when there’s an innumerable number of other threats in the world? how hyper efficient and hyper capable do you really believe these humans to be that work for the government and would such an allocation of resources not be yet another thing you’d criticize? all these people to watch this one guy for however many years?

how many people have you come across in life at work where people cast glances and wonder to themselves, geez i wonder when he’s going to go postal? you think the fbi is watching every single one of them? if it would be possible or feasible for however long or short of a period of time/suspicion?

The Boston bombers could have been deported.

Ditto for the 9-11 hijackers…they knew these guys were in the US on expired student visas.

The govt. still admits that up to 15k people are here from Arab countries on expired student visas and they “claim” they have no idea where they are.

there are a lot of people from the middle east on expired student visas. how do you collect all of them? after they are in country and they decide to stop going to school and they change addresses do you send out the dogs? where do you send the dogs to and where do i find myself some terrorist sniffing dogs? the ones that can tell the difference between a rich kid and a rich kid terrorist, those are the only dogs i’m interested in for this project. because we should all agree that rich kids wanting to live in america should be the lowest priority for deportation when we have murders, rapists etc. that need to be deported.

it’s a lot easier to round up mexicans that are caught crossing the border in the middle of the desert. and why does the government focus on mexicans? because of all the noise that’s made over mexican immigration and the border. it’s easier to go through the prison system and find all the illegals that ended up there. between those two there’s more than enough to deport already. so additionally, you’d like to round up rich kids from the middle east that are here possibly to try to get on real shah’s of sunset, or at least live that lifestyle. i’d like to see how you’d do it. let’s give you 10 billion dollars a year and see how you would do it.

i bet there’s a shift in prioritization in the works. i bet people lie on those applications constantly, but regardless, i think priority should be set on anyone who even has a hint of terrorist inclinations and such people should not have the privledge of breathing over american waters or soil. that said, i bet the first mofo deported over such a prioritization will cry to the aclu and we will have to take them back and give them citizenship.

“Seeding”. I mean you can’t have almost every one of your “terrorist plot” busts actually plotted and orchestrated by the FBI. It is actually in their interest to get a legit terrorist act every once in while - it helps their “street cred”.

From the NY Times no less…

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/29/opinion/sunday/terrorist-plots-helped-along-by-the-fbi.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

THE United States has been narrowly saved from lethal terrorist plots in recent years — or so it has seemed. A would-be suicide bomber was intercepted on his way to the Capitol; a scheme to bomb synagogues and shoot Stinger missiles at military aircraft was developed by men in Newburgh, N.Y.; and a fanciful idea to fly explosive-laden model planes into the Pentagon and the Capitol was hatched in Massachusetts.

But all these dramas were facilitated by the F.B.I., whose undercover agents and informers posed as terrorists offering a dummy missile, fake C-4 explosives, a disarmed suicide vest and rudimentary training. Suspects naïvely played their parts until they were arrested.

“The evidence will clearly show that I am the shooter.”

It amazes me that so many legal “experts” and talking heads are dumbfounded by the fact that Hasan is representing himself and the kind of statements he is making. Newsflash . . . HE WANTS TO BE FOUND GULITY AND EXECUTED. He views himself as a martyr in a holy jihad and wants his reward and the publicity for his cause.

Maybe just not promote them to the rank of Major and put them in charge of the psychological well being of returning combat vets. Who knows how many guys seeking help with things like PTSD he’s ****ed up over the years.

Keep in mind this was supposed to be an example of a “mainstream” Muslim who is so Americanized he’s an officer in our military and in the medical field on top of that. He was the poster child for the “non terrorist” variety Muslim in America.

But despite all that “hopes and dreams” shit the PC police served up to us…there are those words again. “Jihad” and “Allah Akbar” punctuated with the sound of gunfire.

That they still have not classified this as a terrorist attack is appalling.

We should of course deal with them based upon threat priority and opportunity in the most efficient reasonable combination.

We shouldn’t NOT be arresting, fining and deporting illegals because we have terrorists in the country just as we shouldn’t stop looking for terrorists because we have millions of illegals.

Just as the police try and stop every speeder, drunk driver and escaping felon they possibly can in order of logical threat priority, all those super special federal agencies with the cool acronyms should be capable of doing the same.

Still wondering why someone didn’t have their safety slip off accidentally on the spot when this dirtbag was grabbed the day of the attack. Whatever they kill him with it needs to be rubbed with pork fat in front of him first.

Did I hear incorrectly or did this POS clearly state in court that he “switched sides”? If so then how in the hell is this still categorized as a work place violence incident? Other than having to admit that it was terrorism and wind up with egg on its face, why doesn’t the administration just admit that this was 100% terrorism?
