Do you think that having the inside of the upper receiver finished in nickel boron to reduce cam pin/BCG wear will be worth the $75 maybe closer to $90 with shipping?
Looks like a standard upper has a Rockwell hardness of ~60
NIB upper will have a Rockwell hardness of ~70
Not sure if that is a huge gain because I don’t know much about the Rockwell hardness scale.
Can I ask where you’re sending? My buddy has been debating this for his replacement BCG. We have been discussing this on our local board and most say it’s not worth the extra cash if you are tight on funds, but if you have the money to spend why not. It never hurts to try something one then you will know down the road if it’s worth the investment for future builds.
