NIB Glock Barrel Lock-Up

I’m about to pull the trigger on a brand new Gen 4 Glock 34. It’s the only one i can find locally after looking for weeks. Anyway, the MFG date is december 2013 so about a month old, all looks good however i notice there is quite a bit of “play” on the barrel hood and slide:frame fit. If i press down on the G34 barrel hood it gives quite a bit. I just purchased a gen 4 G19 this week and it is like a bank vault.

So was not sure if this was an issue or not. I’ve had older police trade-in G19’s have this issue, but want to make sure i buy once cry once if i can get one with a tight fit…if it even makes a difference.

Is this enough of an issue to cause concern?

any input is highly appreciated thanks!

I think this is completely normal. Every Glock I’ve owned does this and every one them has exhibited excellent accuracy.

My duty pistol Glock 22 gen 4 has some play it it too. Our Glock armored said the play is normal and nothing to worry about.

bought it, shot it, all is well thanks guys
