Anybody watching the Washington Capitals? The best team in hockey this year in game 6 down by 2 in the 2nd period and playing like they want to lose. They couldn’t even captialize on 2 man advantage power play. Every game this series has pretty much been this way…sloppy, lazy play. It seems like they are reacting instead of creating opportunities. I’m a Cap fan and this is disgusting to watch.
I dont know what is happening to them, they have all the offense in the world and cant seem to beat a fairly weak team.
Barry Melrose said the same thing after the first game. They play lazy in part because they think they can score in bunches against anyone at pretty much anytime. Problem is Halak’s got that goal locked up tighter than Fort Knox right now.
Halak is playing well but the Caps aren’t setting up scoring plays. I can’t figure out why the number one scoring team in the NHL doesn’t put a man in front of the crease. Instead they spend all day chasing the puck around the boards and turning the puck over with lazy passes.
There are two seasons in hockey; regular and playoff.
It doesn’t matter what they or anyone else did in the regular season this is the playoffs.
This is true of all sports.
Halak is out of his mind tonight. Not only is he playing insane, he has a SO going still…
Kudos to Montreal. They were the best team tonight.
I can’t stand it. I might have to shave my Caps playoff beard Wednesday unless the learn to play Caps hockey again.
It really is sickening if you’re a Caps fan.
I know your pain. Being a Bruins fan I’ve been there done that. Can never count the Canadiens out.

In retrospect they really didn’t play too poorly last night. They clearly dominated shots on goal. Halak was just a fricking brick wall last night. Better win Weds though. Losing this series would be epic.

I had to turn the game off half way through the 3rd after LaPiere scored that goal that Varly should have had.
Real question is, When the fuck is Semin going to show up. Hes been absent the last Month. Its sad when Corvo gets more shots on goal then your 5Mil a year forward.

I don’t know were the Canadiens keep finding goalies? They seem to have a knack for finding some good ones. Before Havlac, Carey Price was the future and has had some great performances. Lately their problem is getting some long term stability in net. I’m no fan of the Pens and Crosby, but being Cup champions, they are the ones to beat. I any one can stop a hot goalie, its Crosby and the Pens.
