I wondered about this dude. I see a “Larry Vickers” on the instagram posting stuff. I’d assume he’s a convicted felon and can only talk about guns right?
I agree that what he did shouldn’t be illegal, but he wantonly broke the law, so I don’t have a ton of sympathy.
Grant has been shady since the ARFcom days. Not sure if the remaining members here are aware of his price fixing attempt on Barftard, but it wasn’t some rumor. My understanding of the crap he pulled is that it was outright fraudulent use of LE pricing for non LE resale.
Now I don’t think LAV broke the law with greed as the motivation. He simply thinks so highly of himself that he should just have to pull some wink and nod shenanigans to get from point a to point b.
Grant, on the other hand is a true greedy and shady piece of crap who finally got what he had coming to him.
The firearms industry extending heavy discounts to a minority customer that is perpetually trying to eliminate 65%+ of the firearm industry business indicates something going on that is sketchy as hell.
I think Larry loves guns, and he wanted to get things that are hard to get and tried to think of creative ways to obtain them. I don’t view him as a criminal.
The true criminals are the ones in Congress that passed the NFA and other anti gun laws.
I am happy for him and he will get no jail time and I would be even more happy if Trump gives him a pardon.
I was pretty sure that the treatment was successful came up discussion somewhere during the time frame of initial news of the federal screwing and the conviction and a quick Google search appears to verify that.
Seems like someone here opined the possibility that whatever they were trying to hang on him could have came about from making bad decisions due to the effects of cancer and/or the treatment.
What was his underlying sentence? I understand he was placed on probation, but what was the sentence in months that was probated? Page 1 of the federal sentencing order was published on social media, but the significant details of the sentence are going to be found on pages 2 through 5. And it appears the original indictments were dismissed and he pled on two amended informations.
