I think its good that the AK is getting this kind of attention, but if I read one more article by a writer who prefaces his article with “While I wouldn’t trade my AR for an AK…”, I’m going to shit a brick.

I thumb through the magazine last night at Wal-Mart. It was pretty much the usual stuff and I got a great chuckle out of the “Spetsnaz officers are highly ethical and well respected” bit. I think a lot of the attraction to the Spetsnaz and their method of doing things is that it is simply different than what we normally see. Not better; jus different.
I decided to pick up a copy of Grim Reaper instead.
Pretty sure it covers everything in the AK books and then some.

I wrote an article for the new one, and if I dont say so myself, its the best article ever. Ever.
on Arfcom Gunwritr explains why the first issue was marginal.
1.5 yrs to approve it and then only 30 days to get it to print.
I suspect they debated the ‘image’ of the AK in mainstream media and putting out a 'Book of the … ’ and then perhaps that the tight deadline would make it bad enough that they wouldn’t have to do it again lol.
Guess it did well enough that the $$$ won out
