New to the forum just wanted to say hello and post a couple pics of some builds I made. Apologize for the crappy photo’s.
I know that many will say these are not up to snuff by the charts and all but I have never had a problem with any of them. Mostly target shoot to keep my skills up to par and coyote pest control.
Once a Marine always a Marine here so Semper Fi to all my brothers out there.
Maybe someday I will buy a tacticool rifle but I seem to have more fun partially building these up.
No need for negative responses about I should have done this and that and all like I see posted at times…My SHTF weapon would be my FAL and these would be backups.

Was it the FAL response for my SHTF weapon or is the attitude here that anything not number 1 or two on the charts is just junk?
Seriously chrome lining/ 1-7" twist and 4150 grade steel is not going to be the determining factor on who comes out on top if God forbid SHTF.
A bullet is a bullet and it does not care if it was aimed in deliberation, sprayed and prayed or care if it came from a tacticool weapon or not.
We can all train and do our best to become proficient with our weapons and clean them like they should be to lower the odds of becoming a stiff but realistically if your weapon is 100% it will be just fine no matter what another persons opinions are.
There are posts all over the internet of even top tier weapons malfunctioning…Heck I saw military issue Colt M16A2’s have bolt, extractor issues on occasion in the Marines. Do we need to post Colt as lower tier?
The majority of so called lower tier weapon problems are not being familiar with that weapon in the first place. Proper cleaning and assembly of parts is most critical.
Besides these facts a decent BCG and good magazines are the 99.9% key to keep your beloved AR15 running like a clock.
Guess I found the wrong site to discuss our passion of enjoying our rights to own and fire these fine rifles.

As for the upper and lower tier rifle question/comment. there are a bazillion threads argueing this concept. whle the bullet may not care where it came from, the parts involved in getting the bullet from chamber to target are very important. will all of the options get it done? sure. will all of themdo it the exact same way every time? probably not. Do i want the ones that have the best quality and best chance to function perfectly? absolutely.

Nice rifles there and Semper Fi. You will find a few posters here that will beat up brands that aren’t top tier but most everyone here is pretty friendly and helpful, even when they are browbeating. LOL.
Me however, I agree with you, as long as you properly maintain and store your rifle, it should work just as well as any other. Doesn’t matter if it is Colt or DPMS. But that’s because we were brainwashed to think that maybe.

You have some nice guns there. I particularly like the two you did with the MOE furniture. If they shoot good, don’t break, and kill coyotes up to your standards, then have at it. They suit your needs fine, and that really is all that matters.
Some people here are big on the chart for quality control and parts reliability reasons. I am too, though I wouldn’t. The simple fact is that the farther left you go, the better chance there is of your gun being built right the first time, and being reliably tested before it shipped to its first owner’s hands. Its an extra bit of insurance that the gun will go bang when it needs to (on that note, this forum has more people for whom this is an actual NEED than others).
I’m sure you’ve seen Colts go TU. I have too. Having said that, I’ve seen more RRAs, BMs, and others have problems. But Colts are fielded in vastly larger numbers, and a lemon might squeak by (or an operator related malfunction or breakage). If you start with a quality carbine, put together by people knowing that their gun might go into harms way, and tested rigorously for quality control standards, then you’re in a better position to diagnose the problem when something does go wrong. That is to say, the malfunction will be less likely to be a parts quality issue than a M.E.A.L. issue. BUT, when something does break on a " top tier" weapon, you’re more likely to get better service from the parent company.
