Newbi (asking a Question)

Hello to all, I am new to the forum and new to AR’s (Even though I do have friends and brothers that own at least 1), would anyone rate either of these 4 brands (you can tell me 1,2,3 and 4)

Rock River
S&W
Bushmaster
Double Star

I am looking to spend no more than $1000 and these are the only ones I can find right or below my budget.

I would appreciate your help

Seek out the search button. Such a elementary and yet subjective questions will get you nothing but chest beating and arguing amongst the ranks here.

Search for something like… “THE CHART”. Search for something like “is bushmaster better than”, or just start going back through the archives. This battle has been played out way too many times here!

Bushmaster will win you no respect around here, RRA may not get you much further. Colt, LMT, Charles Daly Defense, SW and a couple select others will get you non flamed support for your rifle.

This will get you the chart and many pages of bantering about it… The link to the chart is the first few BOLDED AND UNDERLINED WORDS in the very first post.

I disagree. Making unfounded claims that you get the same thing as a Colt when you buy a Bushmaster will get you in trouble because it’s quantifiably false.

If somenone wants a bushmaster to get his feet wet in the AR realm, it’ll probably serve him fine. If he decides to push it hard in the training to fight with a rifle realm, he can refine his weapon selection then.

It’s not about being blindly snooty to anything less than “this or that” brand.

I own a Bushmaster myself… and a Carbon version at that!

I don’t mind the BM, my wife loves it for plinking paper plates on our property. I’m not a hater, but I have watched enough of the same questions get asked by 100 guys to know that this question commonly gets you a certain type of response

Lioke many have recently said in multiple posts, under the current prices and lack of supply-vs- Huge demand… the best one is one you can FIND AND AFFORD TO BUY! You can always work on uprading the sub-par parts as time and paychecks permit. A Bushmaster is not the end of the world, rather it is the start of a great new hobby!

My bad, sorry for the distraction!

Buckaroo

It says Officer price, can any law abiding civilian buy one? at that site?

Thank you

Those are LE SKU’s which means that they are and LE dealer and most likely will NOT sell to you.
