Hello everyone. My first non picture post. Here it goes.
I have recently finished assembling my first AR and now I need to zero the sights. The range I shoot at is an indoor range with 30yd rifle ranges. My question is really simple. Where, in relation to the point of aim, should the point of impact be on a 30yd range when trying to achieve a (rough) 200yd zero? Thanks.

on 50 yard zero, 50 and 200 yard point of impact are very close. What you could do is get 1.2 inches low like it says on the chart (25m for a 50 yard zero) on your 30 yard range to get an approximate 50 yard zero.

I just got back from the range and was zeroing in my new Daniel Defense M4 - fun stuff! Was my first time and took way to many rounds to figure it out haha. I guess it would have helped if I didnt go the wrong direction first! :eek:
It’s all good man. I don’t think anybody here would expect you to be Carlos Hathcock or Annie Oakley your first time out. The important thing is you got some trigger time and hopefully a better feel for your new rifle.
