Just got off the phone with Ashley and he told me about the new Victory Sling. This is a lower cost alternative to the Vickers Slings. Instead of the CNC adjuster, BFG is now manufacturing a plastic slide using the same plastic as ITW Nexus uses for their American Made line.
The Victory Sling is still made in the USA. To keep the cost down, Black is the only color offered. The webbing is a bit shinier than the standard webbing that is used on the Vickers slings. Also, as noted above, instead of using a CNC machined adjuster, BFG has designed a new plastic piece.
I don’t currently have one to show pics of, but will soon. In the meantime the BFG site does have a pic.
Ashley, the Victory looks fantastic! Thanks for bringing this to market.
Jason please compare and contrast your new 2pt sling to the Vickers.
This thread was started about the Blue Force Gear - Victory sling ( an excellent
product from a stand up guy ). I have no desire to derail it. Furthermore, I am
not a paying dealer here ( not that I don’t want to be mind you ), and therefore
it would be in direct violation of the rules of this site to do so.
That said, I spoke to Ashley a while back regarding a cheaper alternative to his
VCAS, one that would use a plastic substitute for the currently machined
aluminum slider and low and behold he already had the ball rolling. Glad to see
this latest product come to to life. Congrats Ash!
What a cool product. I’ve been wanting to get a ninja sling for my loaner/KISS rifle but not wanting to shell out the money for a rifle I rarely shoot myself.
I don’t agree with that statement at all. What it shows is Jason is a stand up guy with class. But I disagree with you because he would make the same stand up comments on the TOS.
Yes, but the wheels turn slower at our largest Distributors. If you want them NOW, Grant, as usual, is the first guy in the country to have them IN STOCK!
Any chance of a coyote or OD-ish green colored sling for those who live out in the southwest? Black isn’t the best color 9 months out of the year around here.
As I understand it, since the solution dyed webbing is quite a bit more expensive, the plan right now is to stick with Black. In addition, many of the folks/units who were looking for a less expensive version were predominantly purchasing black.
For what it’s worth, I would have ordered one in tan/green about 1 minute after reading the thread. What caught my attention was the use of plastic. I’d imagine it slides pretty nicely with that stuff.
Gentlemen, I hear what you’re saying about black and I agree that it’s the worst choice in a tactical color. However, reality is that the VAST majority of police and military customers aren’t allowed to paint their weapons and their command says “Black rifles get black slings!” Those places where weapon painting is allowed usually have the budget to procure our state of the art slings in a non-black color.
Even though it continues to surprise me, black is still our top selling color by a wide margin and that includes military sales. If you need a camo (coyote, foliage or camo green) sling, we still have them for you in our normal line.
Our Victory Line exists to allow guys without spec-ops budgets, who are likely to use black as a requirement, to get our quality and most popular designs without going to {fill in Communist totalitarian regime here}.
