New& Unique SBR build by Grant

I posted a quickie in the Custom Build forum on 2 builds that Grant (G&R) just completed for me, but I had to share the specifics (and more photos) of the SBR build.

It was built on a Noveske lower with Grant’s G&R parts kit, a Magpul MOE grip and CTR stock. I topped this off with a Troy rear folding sight, the VLTOR CASV-M hand guards w/VLTOR front site, and an Aimpoint H1 with the reduced height American Defense QD mount made for CASV. The flash hider is a SureFire Muzzle Brake to mount my FA556-212 (also from Grant).

What makes this build unique and one-of-a-kind (for now) is the special order Noveske 11.5” N4 barrel w/pinned gas block. It was also spec’d with a smaller diameter gas port, to be used specifically (but not necessarily exclusively) for suppressed fire. Combined with the PRI Gas Buster and the LMT Enhanced Bolt Carrier, enough gas is bled off to result in minimal recoil and gas blowback.

Just waiting on a Geissele DMR trigger to finish it.

Just curious, did Grant end up ordering the barrel with your specs direct from Noveske? (specs –> 11.5", small gas port)

Grant was the wizard who obtained all of the components used in both builds.

That’s pretty nice, I’ve got nearly the same thing but with a 12.5" N4 instead.

Notice much POI shift with the SF can on the end?

Just picked this build up last weekend and it’s been raining in NE Ohio since, so haven’t been to the range. One of the reasons I went with the SF can was because it was supposed to have little/no POI shift with the can on and off. I have two other platforms (another G&R build with 16" N4 switchblock and a Colt 6921) both with the SureFire 212 flash hider, so can use the can on both. I picked up the can the same weekend as the SBR so have a lot of sighting in/evaluation to do when the rains stop.
