Just came back from R&R
I put 60 rounds of bird, low recoil buck and some 2 3/4 mag slugs and it works great.
I got it for open class shooting in three gun but it would also make a great self defense shotgun.
I have 3 12 round mags and 1 20 round mag. I also got Briley chocks for it.
That has to be one of the most wicked Saigas I’ve seen.

Is that set up with the AR controls (what about mag release?).
What is the price range of one of these AR’d Saigas, if you don’t mind me asking.
Its 3000 grand for the complete open gun. If you send your gun in its 2500. That is just the basic. I got 2 extra 12 round mags and 1 20 as well as a Briley Chock set (improved cylinder came with the gun, I bought modified, improved modified, and full) I paid 3000 when it was all said and done and I sent him a Saiga. It was very expensive but I am very happy. The gun also is light even with a full mag of 20. I will have to weigh it but it feels lighter than my M4 Benelli.
I swapped out the Magpul CTR stock for a Vltor Emod.

Yes that is a brake. I hardly felt the full power 2 3/4 mag Breneke slugs I fired in it yesterday. I will get some video with it on my next days off. Yes open shooters are going to Saiga’s in droves. I don’t even have an open pistol. I just figured that I would have such an edge in shotgun that I could afford to give up some ground in pistol at a match. At least until I can afford an open pistol.

I had to sell off my Mak 90, SKS, Daniel Defense M4, STI Trojan in 9mm, Beretta Stampeed in 45 colt, Sig P6 and P228 and a Ar10 carbine I had to be able to afford this gun. I also sold one of my gun safes to my roomate. (I had 2) Now everything fits in one safe.

That’s why they call it the bleeding edge. I just have a hard time spending $2500 in mods on a $500 gun. 
Sweet gun, can’t wait for the updates. Those bears up there don’t have a chance now. 
Pat- thanks for the link, cool guns. I notice the ones on the website have a full length rail. Does a shotgun have to use your kind of comp because the wad might mess up in a standard type of brake at the muzzle end?
20 round mag of 12 gauge is just mean.
The comp is a JP brand. The reason its further back is because shotguns don’t have much pressure and the further back the comp the more pressure there is to work with. (my theory anyway)

Nice Saiga.
The Roberts are good guys. Shot USPSA with them regularly back in the late 90s and have bought 2x dueling trees and misc other targets, and lots of other stuff from them over the years.
