OGDEN, Utah - A national cable show, Spike TV was in Ogden Sunday afternoon shooting an episode of its newest series. The show is about learning how to protect yourself from violent crimes. The episodes will focus on counter-terrorism training at the Swanson Tactical Training Center. “First time ever that this is going to be out to the mainstream media where common citizens can watch everything law enforcement has known for years and military to help save lives,” said the host of ‘Don’t Be a Victim’ Rich Wyatt.
There are over 13 episodes where experts will be able to show real life scenarios from self defense and counter-terrorism to fighting off intruders and responding to emergencies. “I’d rather explain to a police officer, ‘he came up from behind me. He was going to kill me. He was going to rape me and I took care of myself.’ I’d rather not have him find my dead body,” Priscilla Miller said.
Producers of the show say they hope the show will draw in viewers. The first episode will air July 10 on Spike TV.
