I want a Noveske Infidel. Yes I know they’re pricey but they are wicked looking. I have about forty some years experience with the platform and one a few, one Noveske rifle. Is there any reason not to buy one of these charming little carbines. (Other than the price). When I look at that rifle it makes want to grab it, get in the stack, ex breach a door and drive it thru some bad guys. Whaddya think.
the kx3/5 is muzzle heavy and it’ll be permanently attached to your barrel.
I really do not care for permanent muzzle attachments at all. I would suspect the porting to be on the stout side. You may not like some of the CMT parts in the rifle.
I do like Noveske barrels a lot, not trying to bash them at all.
Tom, CMT is a government contractor and has made M16 parts for years. Why don’t you like them?
Mostly, I would prefer a few items, like cam pins, from a different vendor.
Interesting. Didn’t know they had a cam pin breakage rate higher than others (?). Their BCG’s have been used by the .mil for decades I believe, I assume as spares or on arsenal/3rd shop rebuilds. Perhaps the old Hydramatics used them from the factory, not sure.
Yeah, they’re all over the place, not hard to run into them at all.
I have a friend who recently purchased an Infidel. It’s surprisingly well balanced, considering the muzzle device. It’s a gen3 rifle, so it has the smaller kx5.

I was asking more about from the quality of the rifle perspective. I’ve used the KX3 on SBR’s before and it’s heavy but gives a short barrel a longer feel without being longer. I was surprised at the weight of the rifle too at 7.3# so the barrel and KX5 are heafty. I hate pinned muzzle devices too but without a stamp we’re stuck there until we get that stupid law repealed. Isn’t the gen 3 Noveske a very nice high quality rifle? I mean in the top three?
Maybe not top 3, but they are nice rifles.
Noveske makes a gorgeous rifle - there are few that are as nice as a factory Noveske. And while I’m still working on getting my Gen III lower so I have no experience there, the upper is what you would expect. I don’t know why the strayed from the MUR though. I would say just make sure it’s exactly what you want. Between the way the barrel and muzzle device fit under the NSR, if you wanted to change any of those three, it’d be more work than normal for an AR.

It’s a buyers market and there a A LOT of options available.
Pretty cool gun, I have admit. I do like me some Noveske with Vltor. Probably just too much cost for noveske if they dropped them? IGunz got me Vltor vis about a hundred years ago for my noveske 11.5, still one of my favorite guns.

My experience with two Noveskes has left me with the impression that they build guns to look cool.
I spoke with Noveske when I bought my gen 3 upper and was told they started making in house uppers due to supply issues with Vltor during the last gun scare. Whether or not they actually make them… But that’s what I was told when I called. By the way, it’s sexy as hell. Just get it and you’ll never look back.

And by cool you mean rock solid construction and exceptional accuracy. I would not hesitate to pay a little extra for a Noveske rifle or part/parts for my weapon system.
I’ve never bought a full Noveske build. Just bought upper , lower and barrel. It just might have smelled like a chainsaw!
I am not finding lots on the shelves. I wanted one of those lovely FDE models which are only thru RSR dealers and jacked up in price. The gen III are my only interest but I’ve looked at several candidates lately and read all I can find and think the Larue is the best Stoner system rifle out there. Not as tacticool as the stubby infidel but more gun for the money. I think I’ll wait and grab a Noveske SBR at a later date. It was his SBR work where he really shined anyway. Thanks for all your input. I always enjoy talking guns.
