First, let me say thanks for the great information I have gotten from this site. I like that this is a no BS board with a lot of contributers who really know their stuff.
I just finished up a new build and am looking to add an optic to it. I will use this rifle mostly at the range and some for small game hunting - i.e. coyotes, hogs, etc. I am currently using a 1.5x compact ACOG, which I really like, but I would like something with a little more magnification. For shooing at 150-200 yards, the 1.5 magnification is not enough for me.
I really like some of the 1-4 power options, and yes I have already done lots of reading in the sticky on this site and others. However, I am still having a hard time choosing. Since I don’t have anywhere close by to go look at them in person, I’d like some input from those of you with experience using them.
I have it narrowed down to a Trijicon Accupoint or a Burris XTR, either of which I would buy as a combo from LaRue. These are in my price range - I would certainly like a NightForce, S&B, etc. but it’s not in the cards right now. I like the reticle on the Burris best, but I like the fiber optics on the Trijicon and am more familiar with their products.
