Interested why you guys chose a twist instead of latch-style release lever?
The twist type wheel is simple, holds zero great and is “self-adjusting” to different platforms and rails.
There is a nylon buffer inside that basically sets tension. You can only tighten so tight, so it is very repeatable and works well. Since it is “less complex” we can also sell it for a little less $ than other QD mounts.
Without a locking mechanism for the large wheel, it could be an issue when bumped against something.
What is the height compared to Larue, ADM and the factory mount?
Height of the mount is the same as the factory mount.
