I have been waiting for this scope for a month. I put it on my Larue. I am planning on using this gun as an open rifle in USPSA. I have a Primary Arms red dot on the rifle as well for close range shooting. The Nightforce illumination was far brighter than I had anticipated. It was very bright and easy to see on the cloudy rainy day we are having. I imagine it will wash in full sun light but that does not happen much here. I will sight it in tomorrow and post a range report.

Any particular reason you went with the Velocity reticle over the NP-R2? My understanding after a phone call to Nightforce is that the NP-R2 is more precise than the Velocity reticle.
The bullet drop reticle is faster and easier to use.

Hardcore long range precision shooters can “M’F” me all they want, but I like BDC (seen it work to 600 with my old TA01). lol
This strikes me as one of the best renditions of the concept.
