I put the velcro towards the end and measured the inside of the hat. It will fit a head diameter of at least 24.5 inches.

Sorry for the brief hijack, but I was thinking a M4C sticker would be cool for our vehicles. The typical white oval with black lettering like people do with places, states, countries and such. Kind of overdone, but most people wouldn’t get that one.

As far as the hat, I like it, but the lettering is a little too dominant in my opinion. That, and I, like Rob, don’t like buttons on the tops of hats.

Well since your asking for opinions…I think it deviates too much from the original logo mark. Font looks like serpentine bold oblique… your looks like serpentine condensed. I would stick with the original design… even if you have to reduce logo mark it in size

I’m another dude with a big noggin. I think I and dkc4u are wondering if the hat will be deep enough and large enough around so that we aren’t relying on the very ends of the velcro straps to stay together and then the hat doesn’t sit well on the head. Could you measure around the circumference with the velcro placed as you have it pictured? My fitted hat size is a New Era 7 5/8. Sorry for the bother but really want to represent well. I would pay more for a flex fit in XL.

If this is the same hat “chassis”, if that is the correct term, as the Vickers hat, it should fit. I wear a 7 5/8 and my Vickers hat fits great, it has about 1 1/2" of velcro overlap in the back.

If it will fit a size 7.75 head (yup, me too) without blowing a seam or popping one of my forehead capillaries, I’ll be in for one or two. I also vote for a little more subdued lettering - just a hair bold for my taste, although still highly cool.

Aye, i’s quite gargantuan in parts.

People don’t notice how big my head is because my body is so big. If I were “normal sized,” I’d resemble the “orange on a toothpick” from “So I Married an Axe Murderer” (see photo above!).

The only “one size fits all” cap that fits me was a Field & Steam cap my dad snagged on clearance somewhere. Otherwise, I have to get the big head caps from www.Gemplers.com.

…Vickers hats…

I am a hat SNOB. Tried and true.

Suprisingly, however, the Vickers hat actually fits well and didn’t seem to have any real drawbacks that some other hats I’ve purchased have had on them.

Pretty simple, if a hat feels weird on my head, it gets tossed in a closet never to be seen again. I intend to wear the Vicker’s hat.

I would also wear the M4CARBINE hat, if it’s pattern matches the Vicker’s.
