New Lowers...

Bohica Arms is coming to market with some new billet lowers in the coming months. I wanted to show some pictures and see what you guys think. Good, bad? Ugly, nice looking? Anything specific you think could be improved?

That’s nice. I would definitely get one. Is that a COW…?

Its a donkey, or jackass if you will.

The lowers look great. But I guess I am to much of a “fashion whore” I don’t think I could have one with that donkey/cow/whatever on it. =\

Price Point???

I wanted to show some pictures and see what you guys think. Good, bad? Ugly, nice looking? Anything specific you think could be improved?

you could start by adding a magwell to the bottom lower.

J/K.

are they going to start selling complete .50’s now with the new mag-less lower?

I’d probably pass on the donkey also.

for the selector image instead of an uncaptured round for “fire” you should put a plane spiraling downward with smoke.

Because we all know that is what .50’s are used for…

Not to worry guys, the lowers will be available with or without the donkey!

There is currently no ETA for the finished rifles. It is merely an idea at this point.

Both lowers are currently up for sale at $160 for the semi-auto and $290 for the steel single-shot lower.

$290 for the steel single-shot lower.

what type of steel?

Watch the shape of that trigger guard…

I don’t understand your post. You don’t like the design of the trigger guard?

It looks a lot like the Magpul trigger guard. There was an issue some months back with another company that made a great billet lower, and got a lot of feedback wondering how they felt about plagiarizing Magpul’s design, and they changed it right away in an effort to not wade into that pool. I don’t think Magpul is out for blood on these types of things, I don’t know, but they changed it because it was the right thing to do, and it DID look just like Magpul’s.

the semi lower looks awesome! I’d defiantly buy one w/o the ass on it

keep us updated!

I see your point. Bohica Arms has a habbit of delivering unique and innovative designs, so while it might bear a slight resemblence on the single shot lower, I don’t think it looks anything like magpul’s design on the semi-auto.

The lack of the magwell on the single shot demanded the sloped trigger guard that I could see looks vaguely like the magpul. However, quite honestly… I don’t know if there are very many ways that one can do a trigger guard when machined out of billet. Unless you wanted to go with a crazy drooped design like a POF, which I do not care for in the slightest.

Do you have any suggestions on how it would be modified if you do not like the current design?

I appreciate your input.

do you have any other views of the semi auto lower?

You bet.

I should have a couple prototypes in my hands within a few weeks.

Ill take a few, when can I get em?

have they not produced any yet? photos of actual lower?

sounds like a good deal… 6061, i assume?

and the donkey looks great to me… since you asked for input

Shooting for a delivery date of June 1st for the first batch. The pre-order for the first batch is active right now, so you can order at any time.

The semi-auto will indeed be 6061.

BOHICA  Hilarious name for a company
