New Knights Nt4 QDSS

I just got my Knights NT4 in. I have it mounted on a Knights sr15 11.5 SBR. Will actually shoot it this coming weekend. Does anyone know what the MOA should be after mounting the can? It is loose and not just the turning motion they all have. It can slightly move in all directions. It is not enough to make the round hit anything but I am afraid it is going to cause grouping issues.

It won’t be any less accurate. One of mine does the same thing. It groups slightly better with the can actually.

So you had the nerve to start this thread without any pics of the gear?

:shout:

Sorry, I will post some pics with a good camera soon hopefully:smile:

Thanks. And the zero is repeatable also?

Yep…

Thanks.

Here is a quick picture.

That’s KACerrific!

Lol. Thanks.

Very sweet, man. Lots of KAC goodness there. If you don’t mind saying, where’d you score the QDSS?

From my local shop Delray Shooting center. Sad thing is I only live about 2 hours away from knights.

That’s such a badass rig, man.

Thanks.

How’s the POI shift with this new can? I remember the old NT4 can had a very noticeable shift when mounted on an M4.

Haven’t got to shoot it yet. Hopefully this weekend.

All cans have POI shift.
The big thing is: is the shift repeatable?
Of course, excessive shift is a PITA, and mitigation would take priority.
Remember, the NT4 is an old can, with an old mounting method, the new QDC cans are pretty impressive. Before somebody accuses me of being a shill, try them out.

POI shift is a crap-shoot. I have a new Surefire that has a 7 MOA shift on one of my Noveskes. No way to know but to try it.

Wow! That’s very odd for a Surfire. I’ve mounted/removed 2 different 762SS from my bolt gun. Was able to maintain 3/4" group over 2-10 round mags. 5 rounds unsuppressed and the rest suppressed between the 2 suppressors.

WS6, is it one particular gun that exhibits that 7 MOA shift?

i have a 4 moa shift down with my sf 212 attached, from both a 10.3 mk18 and 14.5 sr-15 carbine upper.
